School Consolidation Data Rubric Now Available!
This spring and summer, we partnered with staff and community members and our board of trustees to shape the Data Rubric, which is the first part of a two part tool that will guide our school consolidation work. More than 15,000 of you shared your ideas in meetings and online, helping us decide which factors matter most when evaluating our schools.
Now, for the first time, you can see a list of every school in our district, along with data that shows where there may be challenges, such as underenrollment, overcrowding, poor facility condition or high operational costs. This is the starting point for important conversations about how we ensure every student has access to a strong, vibrant neighborhood school.
In the months ahead, we’ll dig into the details for each campus and explore options such as adjusting boundaries, relocating programs, changing transfer policies or consolidating schools. We will share a draft plan at the Oct. 9 Board Information Session and provide opportunities to provide feedback on that plan through virtual and in person meetings as well as online. The board is anticipated to vote on the final plan Nov. 20 with changes going in place as early as the 2026–27 School Year.
