Every year from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, 91´ô¸ç joins the rest of the country to observe National Hispanic Heritage Month—a celebration of the diverse cultures and riveting histories of the people in this country with ancestral roots in Spain, Mexico, and Central and South America.

This year, we are celebrating with our students through a virtual talent show. AISD students can showcase their talents by submitting photos or videos of how they celebrate their Hispanic culture at home. The categories include:

  • Dancing.
  • Music or Singing.
  • Writing or Storytelling.
  • Drawing.

To participate, videos or photos need to be submitted via the talent submission form: 

Accepted submissions will be posted on the by October 12. Students may participate with their families.

Winners will be announced on Oct. 15 through a virtual award ceremony.

Prizes:

- Two Chromebooks to the top two photos or videos with the highest number of reactions on their post, regardless of category.

- A $100 H-E-B gift card to the posts with the highest number of reactions in each category.

Cada año del 15 de sept. al 15 de oct., el 91´ô¸ç se une al resto del país para conmemorar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana Nacional, una celebración de las diversas culturas y fascinantes historias de la gente de este país que tiene raíces ancestrales en España, México y América Central y del Sur.

Este año, estamos celebrando con nuestros estudiantes a través de un espectáculo virtual de talento. Los estudiantes del AISD pueden exhibir sus talentos al enviar fotografías o videos acerca de cómo celebran su cultura hispana en casa. Las categorías incluyen:

  • Baile
  • Música o canto
  • Escritura o narración de historias
  • Dibujo

Para participar, tienen que enviar sus fotos o videos a través del formulario de envío de talento: 

Los materiales recibidos se publicarán en la página de el 12 de octubre. Los estudiantes pueden participar con sus familias.

Se anunciará a los ganadores el 15 de octubre a través de una ceremonia de premiación virtual.

Premios:

- Dos Chromebook para las mejores fotografías o videos con el mayor número de reacciones en sus publicaciones, independientemente de la categoría.

- Una tarjeta de regalo de H-E-B para las publicaciones con el mayor número de reacciones en cada categoría.
